TOS - Task Order Solicitation This project will construct a new bulkhead retaining structure along the block of 1431-1461 Avon Park Terrace to mitigate the damaged hillside road and restore its lateral support. The bulkhead will be approximately 250 feet in length and its height will range from 3 feet to 6 feet. This bulkhead will be constructed by using the combination of steel piles, precast concrete lagging panels, and cast-in-place concrete retaining walls. A new grade beam, along with a transitional integral curb/gutter, will be constructed on top of the bulkhead. Removal and repair of the concrete pavement will also be constructed. A "Bid Bond" is not required for this project. The successful bidder shall provide two good and sufficient surety bonds. A "Payment Bond" and "Performance Bond" representing 100% of the total bid amount shall be filed with the Board Office before work commences. Because the counting of days will commence within one working day after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP), the successful bidder shall mobilize as soon as possible after the issuance of the NTP. A pre-construction meeting will be scheduled after the NTP is issued. The City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reassign the work to the next lowest bidder if the successful bidder fails to mobilize as indicated.
