Renovation of a residential development in Oroville, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,317-square-foot, one-story above grade residential development.

The City of Oroville Housing Development Department is seeking a qualified contractor to participate in the renovation and remodel a portion of a housing rehabilitation project for a residential home located at 123 Worthy Ave in Oroville CA. NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN City of Oroville Housing Development Department is soliciting a Formal Bid Write-Up for General Contractor for a Best Value, Fixed Price. This write-up is part of a single-phase competitive process for the selection to complete construction of the Project. All work associated with the removal and replacement of seven (7) existing windows with new dual pane windows. All work associated with the repair of sections of siding (refer to the attached documents for locations of repair). All work associated with the repair and or replacement of dry rot and or damaged facia as determined in the mandatory job walk. Address any repairs as noted in the Termite Inspection Report (refer to attached report). Assess and determine repair at potential intrusion locations -site walk to determine full need of repair. All work associated with the removal and repair of existing roof conditions as determined in the mandatory job walk. The project under this Formal Bid-Write-Up is the renovation on an existing single-story home. All work associated with the removal and replacement of Windows, additional lighting work in the residence as determined in the job walk. All other work as requested in the project description in the Bid-Write Up documents. Do not contact home owner prior to submitting the formal Bid Write-Up to the Housing Development team. Contractor requirements: Current and active CA Contractors license in good standing and $1,000,000 general liability insurance naming the City of Oroville as additionally insured. The City of Oroville reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any non-material defects in any submitted bids. Qualifying contractors must attend mandatory job walk to submit a bid for the job. INSURANCE/LICENSE INFORMATION: The contractor's license must be in good standing with the Contractors State License Board (CSLB). The chosen bidder must provide proof of necessary liability insurance, current business license, and permits from the City of Oroville prior to performing work listed above. Necessary insurance includes Contractor General Liability & Automobile insurance in the amount of $1 million dollars naming the City of Oroville and the property owner as additionally insured. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and accept or reject any line item of any bid unless such bid is qualified by a specific limitation. The contractor hereby proposes to furnish material and perform all construction in a workman-like manner for all work stated above. The contractor agrees to honor this bid for ninety (90) days after the bid opening and execute a construction contract within fifteen (15) days after the owner(s) accept the bid. The contractor further agrees to commence work within 10 (ten) calendar days after the signing of the contract and complete the work within specified time frame listed on the Construction Contract. The contractor further agrees to pay the sum of $100.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter the completion date unless the contract is extended by a mutuality signed change order.
