Fa Proj Y001-0810-453, Nassau, Suffolk Cos., Guide Rail Rehabilitation - Routes 908g, 900b, Ny 107 & Ny 454, Various Locations. This project proposes to repair/ replace/ upgrade guiderail that are damaged or non-standard at various locations in Nassau & Suffolk Counties. In addition, new sections of the guiderail will be added, if warranted, to ensure the safety of the traveling public. 1. Northern State Parkway eastbound Exit 26S to New Hyde Park Road in the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County. Install new guiderail at the ramp. 2. Glen Cove Road from Mary Lane to NY107 (Cedar Swamp Road) in the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County. Replace box beam guiderail at the median. 3. NY107 (Cedar Swamp Road) from Glen Cove Road to High Farms Road in the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County. Replace box beam guiderail at the median. 4. NY27A (Montauk Highway) from Bryan Avenue to South Delaware Avenue in the Town of Babylon, Suffolk County. Replace sections of guiderail. 5. NY27 (Sunrise Highway) eastbound at County Line Road in the Town of Babylon, Suffolk County. Replace sections of guiderail. 6. Southern State Parkway in Town of Babylon, Suffolk County. Replace section of guiderail. a. the bridge near NY109 (Farmingdale Road) b. Park Avenue to NY231 (Deer Park Avenue) 7. Interstate 495 (Long Island Expressway) from Nassau/ Suffolk County Line to Commack Road in the Town of Huntington, Suffolk County. Repair/ replace sections of guiderail. 8. NY454 (Veterans Memorial Highway) from Old Hauppauge Road to NY347/NY454 split in the Towns of Smithtown & Islip, Suffolk County. Replace sections of guiderail. Project Status The current status of the project is In Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Winter 2023/2024. Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2024. Construction is expected to be completed in Spring 2025.
