Tehachapi-Cummings County Water District Engine Package Procurement for Pumping Plant No. 2 & 3 In general, the Procurement consists of furnishing Goods and Special Services for eight rich burn natural gas engines, turbocharged and intercooled, with exhaust emission equipment and accessories specified in the Procurement Contract Documents. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. 5) Prevailing Wage Rates: Pursuant to Section 1770, California Labor Code, Successful Bidder shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of California Department of Industrial Relations. A copy of such prevailing rate is on file at the offices of Buyer, which copy will be made available for examination during business hours to any party on request. 6) Bidders shall furnish a Bid Security with their Bid in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid price. 7) Within 15 days after the Notice ofAward, Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond guaranteeing faithful performance. The bond will be equal to 100 percent of the Procurement Contract Price. 8) Buyer reserves the right after opening Bids to reject any or all Bids, to waive minor errors and omissions or non-responsiveness in a Bid, or to accept the lowest responsive and responsible Bid that is in the best interest of Buyer A conference call line will be made available to Bidders upon request.
