Renovation of a water / sewer project in West Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Description: QuestCDN Project #8801375 The project includes the following work on the 250,000-gallon double ellipsoidal elevated reservoir, constructed by an unknown company, in approximately the 1950's. Date of last reconditioning is unknown. 1. Cleaning, sandblasting, and painting all interior and exterior surfaces. Full containment is mandatory. 2. Structure modifications and surface repairs. Tower out-of-service schedule to start on May 1, 2024 and end by June 23, 2024. Additional Description: The approximate dimensions are as follows; tank diameter of 40-feet, high-water level 143-feet, low-water level of 121-feet, and overall height of 150-feet. The goal of the Initiative is that apprentices perform either 10% of the total labor hours actually worked in each prevailing wage classification or 10% of the estimated labor hours in each prevailing wage classification, whichever is less. The Initiative shall remain in effect for the life of the Project. Documentation shall be submitted periodically to the Owner to ensure compliance.
