Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a civil project in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The general nature of the work on which bids are requested is: 1953 SY of pavement removal, 1965 SY of PCC Pavement and an additional alternate of 2215 SY of PCC pavement. 121' LF of RCP Storm Sewer, and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents. Work shall commence as soon as possible after award and approval of the contract and performance bond. Work shall be completed no later than the designated contract completion date of June 28th 2025. Should the contractor fail to complete the work by this date, liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day will be assessed. The City does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City. The City of Ames reserves the right to defer acceptance of any bid for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, and no bid may be withdrawn during this period.
