The Town of Grafton is soliciting sealed bids for HVAC Upgrades at Station Two in North Grafton. This work includes the installation of a new heating system, the demolition of the existing heating system, and the installation of five mini split units in personnel areas. As well as all piping, wiring, and necessary accessory work. The Town of Grafton is looking for a vendor who is able to furnish all equipment, labor,
and tools. This included the connection of all pipes and fittings to ensure the units function
properly.
Work includes:
1. The installation of a new heating system in the apparatus bay.
a. Installing 2 new 75K BTU Modine gas fired ceiling mounted units on the
right side of the bay. Directing vents through the wall, and completing all
necessary wiring, thermostat, and gas piping work.
2. Demolition of the existing heating system.
a. Removal of the existing gas boiler, baseboards in the meeting room and
bathroom, and wall unit in the compressor room. This work includes
patching as necessary and removal of all debris from the site.
3. Installation of mini-split units for all personnel areas
a. LG 42 K BTU outdoor unit mounted on the left side exterior wall
b. LG 15K BTU wall mount with Wi-Fi in the meeting room
c. LG9K BTU wall console with Wi-Fi in the bathroom
d. LG 9K BTU wall mount with Wi-Fi in the compressor room
e. LG 7K BTU wall mount with Wi-Fi in the mechanical room
The selected vendor will be required to obtain all permits and provide a dumpster for
the removal of all discarded materials. The Fire Station shall be left in broom clean
condition at the completion of each work day. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Estimate the project will cost between $57,000-$87,000 based on those quotes
