The Board of Education of St. Mary's County on behalf of St. Mary's County Public Schools (SMCPS) is requesting sealed bids from experienced and qualified Contractors to perform preventive maintenance on chillers and on-call time and material service, repairs and maintenance for chillers and self-contained rooftop A/C units, and other heating and cooling air conditioning systems and associated devices. Services shall include preventive maintenance, winterization, emergency services, repairs and/or replacements of parts as needed for SMCPS at schools, and centers throughout the school system. Contractors must be available by telephone twenty-four (24) hours a day, 365 days a year. In the event of an emergency, Contractors must be able to arrive at a work site within four (4) hours of being contacted by SMCPS. The resulting contract shall be awarded for a period of one (1) year with four (4) additional one-year options to renew. SMCPS reserves the right to award the requirements of this bid in total or in part as it determines to be in the best interest of SMCPS. SMCPS reserves the right to make multiple awards. Contract awards are subject to the availability of funding. Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation notice. St. Mary's County Public Schools reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any informality in bidding.
