As of May 14, 2024, contract has been awarded and no subs needed. Conversion/Renovation of an existing 2-story gymnasium to 3-story (31) unit efficiency apartments. The Knowles-Rowland House) development (the "Development") will consist of 31 units of Permanent Supportive Housing ("PSH"). These homes will serve 31 individuals who have experienced and are exiting chronic homelessness by welcoming them into a new PSH multi-family development. The Development is an adaptive re-use development, that converts a former gymnasium into 31 units of efficiency-style, multi-family housing designed to provide permanent housing and wrap-around, on-site services to households referred through the local homeless response system known as Coordinated Access. Residents will have individual leases, furnished units with a bathroom and kitchen and access to on-site supportive services, around-the-clock staffing for resident needs, on-site laundry for no charge, nutrition support, and community gathering/lounge space for programming and positive socialization.
