Central Lee CSD - High School Science Rooms Renovation The Project will commence upon a Notice to Proceed issued after receipt of the required contracts and certificates of insurance, but in no case later than March 15, 2024. All work shall be substantially completed by August 15, 2024. Bids must be submitted using the approved bid form in the Bidding Documents. No oral, facsimile, telegraphic, or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. Neither the Central Lee CSD nor its agents will assume liability for the inability of a bidder to submit a bid promptly, and bidders bear complete responsibility for the timely submission of such bid(s). The District will reject bids received after the deadline. Bidders will be required to accompany their bid with a security deposit in the form of an approved Bid Bond, cashier's or certified check, or certified share draft in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, in a separate attached envelope marked bid security. Bid security shall be made payable to the Treasurer of the Central Lee CSD. The successful bidder must be properly licensed under applicable laws and will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond both in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price and by other requirements outlined in the Bid Documents. The Board of Directors may award the contract to the lowest respon- sive, responsible bidder meeting the specifications. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, waive informalities, and enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interests of Central Lee CSD. Minority and Targeted Small Business participation is encouraged. Bidders shall make a good-faith, documented effort to promote the participation of Certified Iowa Targeted Small Businesses under the Code of Iowa.
