Seminole County Parks and Recreation is seeking drainage improvement services for Field #1 at Soldiers Creek Park, located at 2400 FL-419, Longwood, FL 32750. The contractor shall supply all equipment, material, and labor to install drainage improvements as well as the connection to the existing storm drainage system. Based on the project requirements, the selected contractor shall perform all work described in the Scope of Services section of this Solicitation. Question Submission Deadline: February 9, 2024, 5:00pm the Q&A deadline has passed, a Applicant may contact the COUNTY directly if necessary at lstraffi@seminolecountyfl.gov Task 1 - Site Preparation: 1. Apply herbicide to remove the existing turf. This shall consist of two (2) treatments ten (10) days apart. 2. Remove the existing irrigation heads prior to renovation. 3. Reverse till treated sod and soil to break up compaction. Task 2 - Construction 1. Trench 6 lines to install ADS 4" N-12 perforated socked pipe running the length of the sideline, 30' apart, to move water off the field. The entire trench is to be wrapped in filter fabric. See detail #1 on the Drainage Plan. 2. Trench 1 line and install an ADS 6" solid drainpipe that connects to the 4" lines. The 6" line shall tie into the existing drain basin. 3. Backfill perforated pipe trenches with #57 granite and 85/15 Greensmix sand. 4. Laser grade area with a dual receiver laser-guided system to correct elevation. 5. Re-install all irrigation heads removed prior to construction. 6. Contractor to install big roll bermudagrass sod, Tifway 419, Bimini, Latitude 36 OR EQUIVALENT and restore site to pre-renovation appearance. Task 3 - Permitting 1. The contractor shall be responsible to schedule, prepare and attend all required preapplication meetings with local government agencies. 2. It shall be the contractor's responsibility to prepare and submit all applications for permitting required by governing agencies such as SJRWMD, FDEP, USACE, FOOT, etc. All other permits required for actual construction will be the responsibility of the contractor awarded during the bidding phase.
