Questions regarding bid specifications and site work should be directed to the following by January 30th 2024 at 2:00PM sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all labor, material, tax, transportation, equipment, and services necessary for the Kohler Elementary School Fencing Project. Prime Contractor bidders shall be required to have a valid Class A or Class B or C-13 Contractors License. Bids must be from an appropriately licensed contractor and must be sealed. Interested bidders must be appropriately licensed. Such bidders security must be in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed Contract, if the same is awarded to such bidder, and will provide the required performance and payment Bonds, insurance certificates and any other required documents. In the event of failure to enter into said Contract or provide the necessary documents, said security will be forfeited. Within 10 days after notification of the Award of Contract, the successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish, simultaneously with execution of the Contract, a Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond in the form required by the District, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price from an admitted surety company as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120 This is a PREVAILING WAGE project In accordance with Education Code Section 17076.11, District has established a participation goal for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE). Bidder shall be familiar with this provision and provide the necessary information as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder shall commence work with the issuance of the Notice to Proceed and per the project schedule referenced below. The District has established a liquidated damage rate of $1,000.00 per calendar day for each and every calendar day that the work remains fully uncompleted or unaccepted by the District.
