The Scope of Work Includes: Conway Vickers Road -Realignment (Intersection Improvement) The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the Coffee County Board of Commissioners as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract. All work on the project must be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days of the notice to proceed. The Contractor shall be a current "Prequalified Contractor" with the Georgia Department of Transportation, Office of Contract Administration or shall be approved in writing by the Coffee County Board of Commissioners prior to bids being opened. A copy of the Contractor's "Notice of Contractor Qualification" as issued by the Georgia Department of Transportation or a copy of an approval letter from the Coffee County Board of Commissioners must be submitted with the bid. The Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, 2021 Edition, any applicable 2016 Supplemental Specifications, or Special Provisions, contained within this contract will be applicable to this project. All materials, workmanship, testing, etc. shall meet the Georgia Department of Transportation Specifications. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any Bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner has the right to add or to delete from the Contract once it has been awarded. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids.
