The City of Amarillo (City) is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) soliciting responses from respondents who are interested in and qualified to provide Airport Terminal Concession services described herein for the CIty's Airport Department. It is the intent of the City to award this proposal to the best evaluated respondent. Deadline for Questions December 22, 2023
Deadline for Responses December 28, 2023 The City reserves the right to: (i) cancel this RFP at any time upon written notice; (ii) accept the best evaluated
response; (iii) reject any or all responses or parts of responses; and, (iv) to waive any formalities, defects, and
technicalities. The Airport believes that its terminal building offers unique and highly visible opportunities for
commercial advertising displays. It is the Airport's intent to achieve a vibrant, cutting-edge Airport
Advertising Concession that also creates a distinctive High Plains/Panhandle regional experience.
By doing this, it is believed that the advertising program will attract a high level of interest from
potential advertisers resulting in significant revenue to the Airport, while offering profitable business
opportunities to the Selected Respondent. The selected respondent will be expected to create an
Airport Advertising Concession that will meet or exceed the following goals and objectives of the
Airport throughout the term of the Agreement to be awarded o Optimize revenue to the Airport;
o Incorporate innovative, cutting-edge technology, tools, and methods that reflect current
and future trends in public space advertising.
o Enhance the overall passenger experience by providing an innovative advertising
program;
o Maintain a commitment to the Airport's image through coherent and complementary
advertising that suits the design and architecture of the Airport;
o Generate excitement about the Airport Advertising Concession;
o Create a sophisticated and immersive passenger experience that is distinctive and serves as
a gateway to the region, while playing a prominent role in conveying a sense of the region to
the traveling public as well as to residents of the region;
o Include unique sponsorship opportunities;
o Provide opportunities for the Airport to strengthen its "partnership" role with local and
regional industries;
o Implement a program that is respectful of tenants leasing space in the Airport terminal;
o Provide advertisers with "campaign opportunities" that integrate multiple media formats;
o Incorporate entertainment elements by including advertising technology that responds to
viewer movements and/or interaction;
o Retain traditional Airport advertisers and attract new advertisers that are relevant to the
local market and the airport users;
o Attract national advertisers;
o Provide excellent customer service to Airport advertisers and the Airport, creating partnerships.
