Renovation of a museum in Lexington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
In addition to BP1, The scope of BP2 work for the Renovation of the International Museum of the Horse includes elements of the main entry Lobby area and decorative finishes for a new classroom. Work includes fabrication of three new exhibit cases with lighting, new reception desk, fabrication and installation of wayfinding and environmental graphics. The scope also includes relocation of an existing bronze Horse statue in the lobby that will require fabrication and installation of new base finis All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee (in the form of a bid bond or certified check) of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the lump sum base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and a separate 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instructions to Bidders and/or General Conditions. Bonds should be executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. No questions will be answered at the site visit. All technical questions shall be Emailed to the architect/engineer of record for this project The Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, Commonwealth of Kentucky, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Commonwealth may be served. , questions received less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the date for receipt of bids may not be answered.
