Renovation of a municipal facility in Missoula, Montana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The existing Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems within the City-County Health Department are aging and in need of upgrades. There have also been remodels within the building throughout the years, resulting in poor air balance in many locations throughout the building. This project will focus on a replacement of the buildings existing HVAC systems. The City-County Health Department is located at 301 W. Alder St., in Missoula, MT and is 27,900 square feet. The building consists of a main floor, a basement, and a top level. The Health Department will need to remain open during the replacement of the systems, due to this, Missoula County is looking to develop a phased schedule as needed. The current amount budgeted for this project is 1.25 million, we acknowledge that the budget may not allow for the full replacement of all equipment, if it becomes necessary, we will look to tie existing into new based off the guidance of the design team. The most current floor plans of the building can be provided upon request. The Owner has not entered into any other agreements for this project. It is desired that the selected design-build firm manage all engineering document development, including any structural/architectural coordination during the design phase. This also includes administrative services following into the construction phase of bidding and construction. The selected contractor will be responsible for managing construction in way that will allow the public to access the services of the facility in a safe manner. Below is a general list of the scopes of services we are seeking for this project. Missoula County is seeking to enter into a design-build contract with a selected firm to assist with the planning, bidding, and construction management of the replacement of the existing HVAC system at the City-County Health Dept. This Request for Proposal (RFP) process will be used for the selection of a design-build firm based off their capabilities, experience, and other attributes. Please click the link below for the full text of the RFP. The County will provide a formal written addendum by January 19th, 2024 by 5:00p.m. to questions received by the deadline. Question Deadline 01/16/2024 at 5:00 PM MT The purpose of this would be to discuss this proposal solicitation, answer questions and familiarize the proposing firms with the building & existing systems. Please reach out to eredfern@missoulacounty.us The offeror may not modify, withdraw, or cancel a Submission for a 120-day period following the RFP due date. The County reserves the right to reject any Submission if the evidence obtained fails to satisfy the County that the offeror is properly qualified to perform the obligations of the contract. This includes the County's ability to reject a Submission based on negative references
