Renovation of an educational facility in Iowa City, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Currier Residence Hall Renovate Restrooms Project consists of several individual scopes of work: a) Pod Restrooms Scope consists of complete gut and reconfiguration of the existing gang-style restroom/shower rooms and/or select student rooms into individual ‘pod’ restrooms. Each pod is a self-contained unit, complete with door, shower, toilet, sink, and accessories. Scope includes demolition, new wall configuration, solid surface wainscot under new 1/4” gypsum board laminated to existing walls/new gypsum board walls above, gypsum board ceilings, new fiberglass frames w/ fiberglass doors. Mechanical and electrical scope includes complete replacement of mechanical and electrical systems, including new plumbing fixtures, supply and waste/vent piping, energy recovery unit for exhaust and make-up air, fire suppression, new lighting and lighting controls and power. b) New Student Rooms Scope within the new student rooms consists of constructing new student rooms where one restroom grouping was located. Work includes new gypsum board framed walls, standard wire closet shelving system w/ end panels, new thermal fused laminate wood door, hollow metal frame, and hardware, new vanities/medicine cabinets/towel bars, new LVT flooring with resilient base, new draperies, and painted walls. Mechanical and electrical scope includes new lighting and new heating units.
