Renovation of a municipal facility in New Castle, Delaware. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Project involves the installation of a new emergency generator, transfer switch and minor site improvements. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein. The Owner may extend the time and place for the opening of the bids from that described in the advertisement, with not less than two calendar days notice by certified delivery, facsimile machine or other electronic means to those bidders receiving plans. A. All work shown on Drawings and contained in these specifications unless noted otherwise. B. Type of Contract. 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. 1.05 PHASED CONSTRUCTION A. Before commencing Work of each phase, submit an updated copy of the Contractor's construction schedule showing the sequence, commencement and completion dates for all phases of the Work. 1.06 WORK UNDER SEPARATE CONTRACTS A. General: Cooperate fully with separate contractors so work on those contracts may be carried out smoothly, without interfering with or delaying work under this Contract or other contracts. Coordinate the Work of this Contract with work performed under separate contracts. General: Contractor shall have limited use of Project site for construction operations as indicated on Drawings by the Contract limits and as indicated by requirements of this Section. B. Use of Site: Limit use of Project site to those areas affected by their trades. Do not disturb portions of Project site beyond areas in which the Work is indicated. 1. Limits: Limit site disturbance, including earthwork and clearing of vegetation, to 10 feet beyond surface walkways, patios, surface parking, and utilities less than 12 inches in diameter beyond constructed areas with permeable surfaces (such as pervious paving areas, stormwater detention facilities, and playing fields) that require additional staging areas in order to limit compaction in the constructed area. 2. Driveways, Walkways and Entrances: Keep roadways, driveways and entrances serving premises clear and available to Owner, Owner's employees, and emergency vehicles at all times. Do not use these areas for parking or storage of materials.
