Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and renovation of a mixed-use development in Chewelah, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; for paving for a municipal facility; road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The City of Chewelah is seeking to meet requirements for procurement of engineering and architectural services for work related to improvements to the City's Civic Center with Community Development Block Grant funding. The scope of work consists of environmental and cultural documentation and approvals, along with design and preparation of Contract Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) for the partial renovation of the interior of the Civic Center including ADA upgrades in bathrooms and kitchen, space refinement, and to upgrade/rejuvenate the general surfaces throughout. Also included is the design and preparation of Contract Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) for a new parking lot adjacent to the Civic Center including hot mix asphalt, stormwater improvements, sidewalk improvements, and lighting. The consultant may be considered for the construction engineering / contract administration phase. Selection and procurement shall be done on the basis of Technical Qualifications of Firm, Qualification and Experience of Key Personnel, Previous Project Experience, and Evidence of firm's ability to design a project appropriate for the community's size, financial strength, and aesthetic acuity. Selection may be made based on applications supplied or by interviewing the best qualified applicant. If interviews are to be conducted, the firm(s) under consideration will be notified as to the time, date, and location of these interviews. Project Contact: Jim Caruso, City Administrator, 301 E. This project is funded through the Washington State Community Development Block Grant Program with federal funds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
