As of May 8, 2025, this project has been cancelled. Salt Lake County (County) is soliciting proposals for the Sunday Anderson Senior Center (located at 868 W 900 S, Salt Lake City, Utah) focused on an integrated senior center mixed-use development which focuses on affordable residential housing aimed at the aging population. The senior center currently occupies 15,032 square feet of space and provides numerous critical senior services. The project goal is to unite private development opportunities and the Sunday Anderson Senior Center in a way that can offset the cost of constructing a new senior center and bring a long-term positive return to Salt Lake County taxpayers. Any proposal should include a design that provides the County with at least 24,000 square feet of space for the Sunday Anderson Senior Center, including classrooms and related senior center amenities. The land associated with this property and necessary for development will be made available through an appropriate arrangement, and the County will collaborate with developers on a mutually beneficial financial structure. The County hopes to partner with developers to further improve the standard of living for residents and promote a healthy and safe community.
