The City of Lowell is seeking proposals for a scum screening unit, booster pump, control panels, supports and appurtenances, specified spare parts, warranty, and field services. The City of Lowell MA (City) invites submission of Proposals for a scum screening unit, booster pump, control panels, supports, and appurtenances, specified spare parts; warranty; and field services by a manufacturer's field service representative in accordance with the Specifications for the City's Duck Island WWTF Scum Screening Pre-Selection (RFP #24-77). The City intends to select a Manufacturer based on an evaluated bid methodology described herein and will enter into a Letter of Intent with the Manufacturer as a result of this Request for Proposal. The proposals submitted by each Manufacturer will be included as a pre-selected equipment allowance in the construction bidding documents for the Duck Island WWTF Phase 3 Upgrade Project. Upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed of the separate Construction Contract, the preselected Manufacturer will enter into an agreement to supply the Scum Screening Equipment to the General Contractor for the Duck Island WWTF Phase 3 Upgrade Project. The Manufacturer shall be bound to provide equipment and service as specified within this document to the General Contractor.
