Site work and paving for a civil project in South Bend, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

**As of January 30, 2024 this project has been awarded to HRP Construction, Inc. for $5,153,364.50.** The project includes the installation of approximately 9,900 ft of 16 to 24-inch potable water main connecting the existing St. Joseph Energy Center Water Treatment Plant along Walnut Road to the proposed GM plant near the intersection of Fillmore Road and Walnut Road. The project also includes the installation of approximately 2,900 ft of 16-inch potable softened water main connecting the existing main at the intersection of Larrison Boulevard and Fillmore Road to the proposed GM plant. Pavement restoration along the project is also included. This work is divided into three (3) milestone completion dates of May 1, 2024, June 28, 2024 and December 20, 2024. SAID bids must be accompanied with a Certified Check made payable to St. Joseph County, Indiana or Bid Bond executed by the bidder and surety company in a sum of not less than ten percent [10%] of the total amount of the bid, together with a non-collusive affidavit as prescribed in Form 96, Revised 2013. Bids must be filed in the office of the Redevelopment Commission no later than 9:00 a.m. [EDT] on January 16, 2024, 11th Floor, County-City Building, South Bend, Indiana. The bidder awarded the contract will be required to furnish separate Payment, Performance, and Maintenance Bonds before commencing work. The Payment and Performance Bond shall each remain in effect throughout the entire construction period in an amount equal to the awarded Contract Amount. The required Maintenance Bond shall remain in effect for a period of five years from the date of final acceptance in an amount of 10 percent [10%] of the awarded Contract Amount. The bidder's attention is directed to the Affirmative Action Requirements and the Insurance Provisions of the Project. Bidder experience requirements are included in the Project Manual related to large diameter water main installation. THE Redevelopment Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept the one which, in its judgment will be to the best interest of St. Joseph County, Indiana. The Redevelopment Commission also reserves the right to hold Bids up to 60 calendar days from the receipt of the Bid.
