The Work to be constructed hereunder is located in the Township of Fairview, Luzerne County, and as described in the Contract Documents. The Contractor will be responsible for obtaining and paying for any required permits as described in the Contract Documents. The Work comprises the installation of gravity sewer lines, laterals, manholes, trench plugs, concrete anchors, milling and overlay of all Township roadways, restoration of gravel roads, water bars and all appurtenances for a complete job. This Project is contingent upon the Owner obtaining Act 537 Plan Approval and Part II Construction Permits from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit from the United States Environmental Protection Agency. If either the approval or the permits are not obtained by the owner the Agreement can be can be termimated at the convenience of the Owner without any claims by Contractor for damages or costs The bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price. payable to the MAJSA, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly obtain the required Bonds and Insurance, prepare the required submittal documents and execute the Agreement.
