17-Jan-2024 04:00:00 PM EST Only Proponents who possess the following experience and qualifications will be considered for award of this Contract: 1 The necessary resources to sustain and complete the Project to the satisfaction of Metrolinx; 2 Experience in heavy civil, shoring, retaining walls, earthworks and grading in rail and transit
construction projects; 3 Experience of working in an active Class 1 rail corridor environment; 4 Experience of working in within an active public infrastructure facility (i.e.: transit station) with construction concurrent to operations; 5 Experience working on projects where adjoining properties and the surrounding community may be sensitive to the Project to be provided, and a demonstrated ability to address concerns promptly and fairly; 6 Experience working with utilities companies and municipal or provincial regulatory bodies to obtain permits required for the Project; 7 Working with utility companies to protect and relocate underground and overhead utilities; and 8 Working with Conservation Authorities. Metrolinx reserves the right to reject any or all Submissions at its sole discretion. (a) A Crew Centre (appx. 331m2) including all associated Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing service
(b) A Substation Building (Appx. 375m2), a (appx. 156m2) Waste Disposal Building and an (appx. 31m2) Pump Room
(c) Three (3) wayside power systems and three (3) jib cranes
(d) Three (3) storage tracks with capacity to accommodate one (1) 1L12
(e) Two (2) #10 turnouts, and associated site development and site mechanical and electrical services
(f) Clearing and grubbing of 51,000m2
(g) Imported fill of 49,920m3
(h) Forming new main access road of 3110m2 and 32 parking spots
(i) New Propane Tanks, Diesel Generator, Transformer/Switch Gear, Air Compressors, Water Well, Box Culvert Storage Tank
(j) New culverts from 450mm dia. to 1.2m dia.
(k) 790m of ductbank and all electrical provisions required for the facility
(1) Track connections to mainline at the east end
(m) Landscaping to the facility Performance Bond, with an extended 2-year warranty, in an amount of not less than thirty million dollars
$30,000,000.00. Labour and Materials Payment in an amount of not less than thirty million dollars $30,000,000.00. Commercial general liability insurance in an amount of not less than ten million dollars ($10,000,000.00)
