The City of Palm Springs is requesting Bids from qualified firms to provide the City with on-call environmental and abatement testing services. The City requires on-call environmental and abatement testing services of various city owned or leased facilities. Work includes asbestos and lead based paint consulting, mold assessment, indoor air quality surveys, bacterial and sewage assessment, smoke and soot assessment, and other environmental site assessments. The Bidder must have a minimum of five years of experience providing environmental and abatement testing services. The Bidder must have knowledge of environmental abatement testing services to include: Asbestos testing, Lead testing, Mold testing, Air quality testing, Sewage & Bacterial surveys, and fire, smoke and soot hazards. Bidders must possess a Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC), State of California Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) certification, American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and Certification with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). The term of this contract will be for three years, with two one-year options to renew at the City's sole discretion. The City reserves the right to reject any Bid if the evidence submitted by or investigation of such firm fails to satisfy the City that such firm is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Contract and to complete the Work contemplated therein.
