The Work consists of the installation of approximately 4,476 linear feet of 8-inch DI water main including valves and appurtenances. The improvements will be installed on Ivanhoe Trail, Foxton Cove, Larson Cove, Wadsworth Way, Rochelle Drive, and Jubilee Trail in Southwest Austin. All Bids shall be accompanied by an acceptable Bid guaranty in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid, as specified in Section 00100, Instructions to Bidders. Performance and payment bonds when required shall be executed on forms furnished by OWNER. Each bond shall be issued in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount by a solvent corporate surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas and shall meet any other requirements established by law or by OWNER pursuant to applicable law. Contract Time is of the essence and all Work shall be substantially completed within fivehundred and seventy (570) Calendar Days after date specified in the Notice to Proceed, in accordance with the Bid Form, Section 00300. Final completion shall be achieved within sixty (60) Working Days after substantial completion. Liquidated damages are one thousand three hundred dollars ($1,300) per Calendar Day for failure to substantially complete the work and three hundred ninety dollars ($390) per Calendar Day for failure to achieve final completion within sixty (60) Calendar Days after substantial completion Estimated project start date: February 2025 Estimated project completion date: February 2027 Question Deadline 09/24/2024 OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any minor informality in any Bid or solicitation procedure (a minor informality is one that does not affect the competitiveness of the Bid).
