**As of February 22, 2024 Bids were rejected. No definite date for the rebid.** Demo Existing Primary Playground Sand Pit, CMU perimeter wall and all of its contents and dispose of all material. (Protect the removed sand and relocate to another part of campus per Project Manager's direction. Demo part of playground asphalt and install new asphalt to blend in with existing (recently installed AC), include slurry coat 30 days after AC installation and include painting of a new USA map to replace the previous map, in kind. Install new Play equipment and PIP Contact Information: Debra Hanna, dhanna@conejousd.org Play Equipment Installation & Site Work ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY: Bidders are required to attend a pre-bid meeting and the associated project site(s) walk thru for comprehensive project scope delineation. Failure to attend this pre-bid meeting and its associated project site walk(s) will disqualify bidders from participating in bidding on this project. Under no circumstances will the District be responsible for contractor's late arrival at the pre-bid meeting and the associated project site walk locations. The sign-in sheet must be signed at the beginning of the pre-bid meeting and at each of the project site walk locations. All participants will be required to leave a business card with their CSLB# an DIR# on it. If the DIR# is not imprinted, please provide on the sign in sheet. PREVAILING WAGES: The Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, has determined the general prevailing rates of per diem wages applicable to this work. The Contractor shall abide by the provisions of the California Labor Code the general prevailing rates of per diem wages and holiday and overtime work in the locality in which the work is to be performed has been obtained from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. The Contractor shall post a copy of the prevailing rate of per diem wages at the job site. Contractors shall register and meet requirements using the online application before bidding on public works contracts in California. Contractor's performance of the Work described in this Notice Inviting Bids is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the California Department of Industrial Relations. Execute cutting, fitting or patching of work, required to: 1. Make parts fit properly. 2. Uncover work to provide for installation of ill-timed work. 3. Remove and replace work not conforming to requirements of Contract Documents. 4. Remove and replace defective work. 5. Remove samples of installed work as specified for testing. 6. Saw-cutting and patching of asphalt and concrete flat work. 7. Turf and landscape restoration. 8. Irrigation system repair. B. In addition to Contract requirements, upon written instructions of Architect: 1. Uncover work to provide for Architect's observation of covered work. 2. Remove samples of installed materials for testing, when required. C. Do not endanger any work by cutting or altering work or any part of it. D. The Contractors with structural responsibility within their scope of work shall solely execute structural cutting and patching required for this project. E. Minor cutting and patching will be performed by the Contractor where required for the execution of his work. Locations of all trade cutting (core boring, etc.) shall be reviewed and approved by the Project Manager and Architect. F. Each Contractor shall make the field measurements necessary for his work and be responsible for its accuracy. Also, should any structural difficulties prevent a Contractor from installing his material properly, the Construction Manager shall be promptly notified so that the Architect may be consulted how best to resolve the difficulty. Cutting into the walls and floors, if necessary, shall be carefully and neatly performed and then be repaired in an approved manner. The Architect shall be consulted in all cases where cutting into a structural portion of the building is either desirable or necessary so that satisfactory reinforcement may be provided. G. Patching of all exposed architectural finishes shall be performed under the supervision of the Construction Manager, but executed by the affected finish trade contractor. Cutting and patching of existing architectural finishes shall be minimized to the extent possible through careful routing and placement of new work. The Architect shall have the authority to reject substandard or unacceptable patching. H. Patching of openings that are cut in any fire rated walls or membranes shall be sealed tightly using approved materials only. Verify that fire rating envelopes are maintained and inspections provided prior to concealing work. Cutting and patching, if required by Agencies to verify adequacy of protection after concealment, shall be performed at no charge to the Owner. A. Work included: Provide asphaltic concrete paving, wheel stops, playground, and pavement marking where shown on the Drawings, as specified herein, and as needed for a complete and proper installation. B. Related work: 1. Documents affecting work of this Section include, but are not necessarily limited to, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, ADA Compliance and all attachments to these specifications.
