Site work and renovation of a civil project in Worthington, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Water System Improvements. The Project includes the following Work: Contract #1 Contract #1 consists of the installation of approximately 8,025 LF of waterline ranging from 3/4 " to 4", with 1 directional drill creek crossing. Additionally, the installation of 9 gate valves, 10 leak detection meters, 10 new meter assemblies, 1 fire hydrant, 1 pressure reducing valve vault, and 1 new hydropneumatics booster station; renovations/upgrades to 9 pressure reducing vaults, 2 meter/solenoid valve vaults, 2 tank valve vaults, and existing telemetry. This contract also includes the purchase of a new desktop computer, tablet, 3-ton mini-excavator, service truck, and all other appurtenances shown on the plans or detailed in the specifications that are necessary for a complete and operable water system improvements project. Contract #3 Contract #3 consists of blasting sand inside and out of, removal and disposal of existing paint, and draining of two 74,000-gallon water tanks. Additionally, Work consists of repainting of tanks and all support structures, cleaning interior of tanks, removal and disposal of accumulated settlements, repairs and additions as noted on plans, patches and pit repairs as noted on the plans, flushing and disinfection of tanks, providing complete skirting during blasting and painting operations, and all other appurtenances shown on the plans or detailed in the specifications that are necessary for a complete and operable water storage tanks repainting project. Contract #4 Contract #4 consists of the replacement of approximately 462 water service meters with radio-read antenna, the purchase of a portable reading device for radio-read meters, the purchase of billing and meter reading software, and all other appurtenances shown on the plans or detailed in the specifications that are necessary for a complete and operable water meter replacement project. The Work will be substantially completed and ready for final payment after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as listed above. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000 per day. Each Bidder must fully comply with the requirements, terms, and conditions as set forth in the contract documents to achieve Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation during the performance of this contract. The bidder commits itself to the program for DBE participation and all other requirements, terms, and conditions of the bid conditions by submitting a properly signed bid. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Town of Worthington in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. The Town of Worthington reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
