Question Submission Deadline:March 8, 2024, 2:00pm All Information for Bid (IFB) questions must be posted at County's Online Bidding System The County Receives Federal Highway Administration (Fhwa) Federal-aid From the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and as a Condition of Receiving Such Assistance Has Developed a 22% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal for This Contract in Accordance With Federal Regulations Published Under Title 49 Cfr, Part 26, Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual (Lapm) and Subsequent Guidance. Bidders Must Hold an Active A Contractors License Issued by California State Contractors License Board for the Duration of the Project. Each bidder must submit with his bid a certified or cashiers check, cash or an original bidders bond issued and executed by an admitted Surety insurer (authorized to transact surety insurance in California), made payable to the order of the County of Orange in an amount not less than ten percent of the Total Contract Amount (as stated above) as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, if the same is awarded unto them (e.g., if the bidders bond is issued through a surplus line broker, both the surplus line broker and the insurer with whom he is doing business for purposes of this project must be licensed in California to issue such bonds.) In the event of failure to enter into such contract, the said amount will be forfeited to said County of Orange. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the amount of the contract and a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract, said bonds to be first approved by the County Counsel and the Risk Manager of Orange County. Bond forms to be provide by County of Orange. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bid received. Bikeway runs generally along the Carbon Creek Canyon Channel, beginning from the existing El Cajon Trail south of Bastanchury Road in the City of Yorba Linda, thru the City of Placentia, to Imperial Highway and then along the south side of Imperial Highway from Carbon Canyon Channel to La Floresta Drive in Brea.
