Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lanett, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work required to be done under this contract includes all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for or incidental to the furnishings and installing of all the stage curtains and curtain tracks, complete and ready for use in strict accordance with this section of the specifications. A. General: Project name is as indicated in the Advertisement For Bids and as shown on the Contract Documents prepared by McKee & Associates, 631 S. Hull Street Montgomery, Alabama 36104. B. Contract Documents: Indicate the work of the Contract and related requirements and conditions that have an impact on the project. Related requirements and conditions that are indicated on the Contract Documents include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Existing site conditions and restrictions on use of the site including ingress and egress to the site. 2. Grading operations at the site. 3. The Contractor shall be responsible to secure the site during the execution of the work and provide proof of insurance including but not limited to General Liability, W/C, Auto, Equipment, etc. C. Summary by References: Work of the Contract can be summarized by references to the Contract, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, the Project Manual, Technical Specification Sections, Drawings, Addenda and modifications to the Contract Documents issued subsequent to the initial printing of this Project Manual and the Drawings, and including but not necessarily limited to, printed material referenced by any of the above. It is recognized that the Work of the Contract is also unavoidably affected or influenced by governing regulations, natural phenomenon including weather conditions, and other forces outside the contract documents. Plans and specifications are for viewing purposes only. Official sets must be obtained from McKee and Associates. The Lanett City Schools Board of Education shall accept proposals only from Contractors who have successfully completed atleast 3 similar projects on time for satisfied State, County or City Governmental Agencies.The lowest bidding Contractor shall submit to the Architect within 24 hours after submitting their bid proposal a listingof projects, construction cost,Owner's address and telephone numbers. All General Contractors biddingon this project shall be requiredto visit the site and examine allexisting conditions prior to submitting their proposal. All Bidders shall have general liabilityand workman's compensationinsurance. The project shall be bid excluding taxes. Bids must be submitted on proposal form furnishedby the Architect or copies thereof. No bid may be withdrawn after scheduled closing for receiptof bids for a period of ninety (90)days. The Owner reserves theright to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errorsif, in the Owners judgment, thebest interests of the Owner willthereby be promoted. A certified check or Bid Bondpayable to the Lanett CitySchools in an amount not lessthan five percent (5%) of theamount of the bid, but in noevent more than $10,000.00must accompany the bidder'sproposal if over $50,000.00 dollars. Performance and statutory labor and material paymentbonds will be required at the signing of the Contract. All RFIs and RFAs regarding thebid documents shall be sent and addressed through emails found on the RFI and RFA forms in the project manual. NOTE: ONLY THE RFI AND RFA FORMS IN THE PROJECT MANUALWILL BE ACCEPTED. The Architect will not accept inquiriesvia telephone or fax. Completion Time: See scope ofwork in Project Manual. Supervision: Contractor to ensure proper supervision of allwork.
