As of February 21, 2024 , this project has not yet been awarded. Anticipated award would be on the 3rd Thursday of March. The Objective Of This Project Is To Relocate The Existing Employee Café/breakroom From The Ninth Floor Of The Cleveland Public Library's Louis Stokes Wing To A New Location On The Lower Level Of The Library's Main Building At 325 Superior Avenue. The Project's Program Involves The Construction Of The New Breakroom In An Existing Space Known As Room 59, Which Has Hereto Been Used For Automation/it Storage. The Project Includes Plans For A Break Area With A Kitchenette And Vending, With New Enhancements Such As Expanded Kitchen Facilities (Prep Area And Appliances) For Light Catering And Infrastructure To Support Mobile "Learning Kitchen" Appliances. The Existing Space Of Room 59 Consists Of Approximately 2,800 Square Feet And Is Located On A Public Hallway That Connects The Main Library With The Louis Stokes Wing. The Project Is Estimated To Have Total Probable Construction Costs In The Amount Of $1,123,576. Additional Supporting Tasks Are Also To Be A Part Of This Project And Are Described in The Rfq Document And Its Attachments. The Work To Be Performed For This Project Shall Commence Upon Notice To Proceed Issued On Approximately March 1, 2024. Construction Is Estimated To Last For A Period Of 90 To 120 Days. Liquidated Damages In The Amount Of $500 Per Day May Be Charged For Work Not Completed By July 13, 2024. Prevailing Wage Rates Are Applicable To The Contract. All Proposed Substitutions For A Standard Shall Be Submitted To Eric Herman Not Later Than 5 Days Prior To The Bid Opening For Review By The Library. If No Addendum Is Issued Accepting The Proposed Substitution As An Approved Equal, The Proposed Substitution Shall Be Considered Rejected. Subcontract Agreements Must Comply With State Of Ohio Subcontract Form #c19-00 52 14 Which Is Contained In The Bid Package. Contractors Are Strongly Encouraged To Include Minority Business Participation In Their Bids.
