Site work and new construction of a power facility in Harrisonville, Missouri. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a power facility; and for site work for a power facility.
A detailed scope has not been determined. This project is part of the city's FY 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program. As of May 9, 2025, per owner, construction is not planned. No design in process. To clarify, per owner, – there is currently no new electric substation budgeted or in design or under construction by the City of Harrisonville. The City’s Annual Budget covers all aspects of operating a City – including Planning for future needs and increased capacity. The New Electric Substation – Industrial Park - item is simply an identified Capital Improvement Project that is needed in the future. The City does not have the budget at this time to build a new substation. A New Electric Substation – to meet today’s current Electric Load Demands – will far exceed a $2,500,000 cost. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
