Renovation of a municipal facility in Waterloo, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Project consists of the renovation of approximately 2,005 square feet in the basement, 4,760 square feet on the first floor, and 4225 square feet on the second floor of the existing County Attorney, Treasurer, Auditor, and Elections departments. Work will occur to reorganize the spaces to promote safety and security of the departments while enhancing the presence and engagement with the public and to promote efficiency and engagement of the staff. Work is required on three floors and may be phased occur simultaneously. Elections Department work shall be complete by September 01, 2024. Each bidder shall accompany the bid with a bid security by a bid bond, cash deposit, cashier's check or a certified check payable to Black Hawk County in the amount of not less than 5% of the total proposed project. The Performance Bond shall remain in force for a period of not less than 12 months after completion and final acceptance of the project by the engineer and the owner. Performance bond shall cover the entire contract amount and shall escalate by all approved change orders. The project and term of contract shall be completed on or before December 6, 2024.
