The Project consists of the following major items: o Replacement of 2,020 LF of 8-InchGravity Sewer Line o Replacement of 20 Service Laterals o Replacement of 9 Manholes o Miscellaneous Appurtenances. A pre-bid meeting will not be held. After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall be required to submit with their Bids affidavits of "Good Faith Efforts" in the recruitment of Minority Businesses. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. Any contract awarded under this Advertisement for Bids is expected to be funded in part by a loan or grant from the State of North Carolina. Neither the State or Federal Government nor any of their departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this Advertisement for Bids or any resulting Contract. This procurement will be subject to State regulations. Bidders shall make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned businesses and woman business enterprises.
