Engineering - Alternatives Evaluation and Engineering Design Services for LTP Cathodic Protection Improvements Project. Start/Delivery Date April 2024. There are four cathodic protection (CP) systems installed at multiple locations at Laguna Treatment Plant that help maximize underground pipe network service life by preventing corrosion. Two of the four CP systems at the LTP are not operational. The third system, installed in 1974 with a rectifier replacement in 1996, was operational but found inadequate for corrosion protection. Per Carollo's Cathodic Protection Testing Results and Recommendations, dated November 29, 2012 the three CP systems need to be evaluated and based on findings either rehabilitated or replaced. Consultant shall submit a proposal and a fee estimate with rate schedule that describes the scope of services to be provided. The scope of work for each task, as described in Section II, will be organized into the following four phases. Reference Projects: The proposal shall include a list of at least three (3) recent projects completed by your firm with similar services to those required by this RFP. Include a project description, contact name and number, design fee, construction dates, construction estimate, and final construction cost. Scope of Services: The proposal shall include a detailed scope of services identifying specific tasks and any specific considerations and assumptions. See item IV Scope of Services above. The City of Santa Rosa Water Department operates and maintains the Laguna Treatment Plant (LTP) for treating wastewater and distributes recycled water through the reclamation system. LTP provides wastewater treatment for the cities of Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Sebastopol, and Cotati and the South Park Sanitation District (Regional Partners). LTP produces disinfected tertiary recycled water as defined by Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations, has an average daily dry weather flow of 15.5 million gallons per day (mgd). The peak daily wet weather capacity is 67 mgd. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
