Street Lighting Maintenance and Repair and General Electrical Services - Work includes on call services for repair and upgrades to the Chester City Street Lights. Additionally, the work includes a separate bid for General Electrical Services for the City. The contractor shall furnish al replacement materials as described in the Specifications appended. The Contract duration will be two (2) years with the option to renew every one ( 1) year for a period of two (2) years. The Contract also includes installation of new street lights as per the bid prices on the bid form. Bidders are required to submit a surety in the form of a bond or equivalent meeting 10% of the overall bid price in compliance with the contract documents. Bid bonds will be returned to the non-awarded bidders upon the execution of the contract. The successful Bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of written notice of acceptance of the Bid. The successful bidder must furnish a surety bond to be approved by the City Solicitor in the amount of 100 Percent of the Bid Amount, guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract as specified within a period of ten (10) days after the awarding of the contract. The Successful Bidder Who Is Awarded The Contract, Will Be Required To Pay online A Fee Of 0.333% ( 1/3 of 1 percent) up to $5,000 Of The Contract Award Value. All interested parties must submit questions via the "Messages/Vendor Discussions" feature in online by the posted deadline. Bidders are not permitted to contact the City Engineer or staff directly. Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid package, particularly to the PA Prevailing Wage requirements, and the requirements for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price and a one-year maintenance bond for 15% of the contract price. Chester City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and the right to waive any technicalities which it deems are in the best interest of Chester City and to consider the competency and responsibility of the bidder before the award of the contract and to award the bid accordingly. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Contract Documents contain all pertinent regulations. The City of Chester reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any portion of any bid, and to award Contracts as is deemed best for the City of Chester. The parties to this contract agree to incorporate into this contract the mandatory language of the Regulations pursuant to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Code, Section 155.18, as amended and supplemented from time to time and the contractor or subcontractor agrees to comply fully with the terms, provisions, and obligations of said Regulations. This agreement, together with the contract documents, form the contract and they are as fully a part of this contract as if hereto attached or herein repeated.
