King County Housing Authority (KCHA) will accept bids from qualified general contractors to furnish labor, materials and necessary equipment to perform the following: SCOPE OF WORK: Work includes, but is not limited to, pool resurface, and other tasks as described in the bid documents. Project Location: Emerson Apartments, 11010 NE 12th Lane, Kirkland, WA 98034. The Work consists of, but is not limited to, pool renovations as indicated in the plan and specifications and includes the following: 1. Demolition and offsite disposal of tiles, pool plaster, main drain and skimmer covers. 2. Remove and store pool light fixture and hand rails for reinstallation 3. Furnish and install new plaster and tiles. (See 03.1 Hydrazzo Plaster Brochure.) 4. Furnish and install new main drains & covers (Must meet VGB sump pump requirements.) 5. Inspect and reinstall light fixture 6. Furnish and install new depth and "no diving" tiles 7. Reinstall all hand rails 8. Recommissioning of finished pool 9. Final cleanup and removal of all materials, waste, tools, etc. Work shall conform to the requirements of authorities having jurisdiction including but not limited to the City of Redmond and the King County Health Department, and Water Recreation Facilities - Chapter 246-260 Washington Administrative Code - Rules and Regulations of the Washington State Board of Health, the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act, and the Consumer Product Safety Guidelines (Section 1404). Addenda will be posted electronically. BID GUARANTEE: Not Required. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: As a condition of award Performance and Payment bonds for 100% of the Contract Award Amount shall be furnished for the Work. On contracts of one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000.00) or less, at Contractors option the requirement may be waived in lieu of an additional 5% (total 10%) retainage.
