B.C. is established as a showcase for forest products in construction, interior design in the residential and non-res segments. Forestry Innovation Investment (FII) is the provincial agency responsible for developing and diversifying markets for the provinces traditional and next generation forest products. FII works to introduce wood use and innovative wood construction technologies in Asian markets and advancing the use of wood and mass timber in the BC domestic market, North America and abroad.
Specifically, FII focuses on:
Raising awareness of the province as a world leader in advanced wood construction and design
Advancing the use of wood building systems and technologies
Encouraging a robust valued-added sector in B.C., through enhanced capacity and competitiveness FII is seeking suppliers with mid- to senior-level experience and qualifications that demonstrate their ability to incorporate the needs and input of senior-managers and executives, industry sectors, construction sector, wood product customers, as well as government (at the municipal, provincial and federal levels) and First Nations. Applicants, and all related suppliers or subcontractors, should have mid- to senior-level experience directly related to the design and construction industry, in one or more of the following areas: Wood frame/Mass Timber
