The work is to be constructed according to the Plans and Specifications prepared by Bledsoe Riggert Cooper James, 1351 West Tapp Road, Bloomington, IN. Questions must be submitted by 5:00 PM (local time) on Thursday January 25, 2024. Questions received after this time will not be answered. a. Project Description: Project generally includes milling, selective site demolition, excavation, storm drainage installation, asphalt paving, and site restoration. b. Construction to begin June 1, 2024. Construction could start after final day of classes, May 30th c. Project must be substantially complete no later than July 15, 2024. Classes start July 30th. New Albany Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation (NAFCCS) will receive sealed proposals for the Prosser Career Education Center, Site Improvement project The proposal must be accompanied by a certified check made payable to New Albany Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, or an acceptable bidder's surety bond made payable to the New Albany Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Indiana. The certified check or Bidder's Bond shall be a guarantee that said bidder will, if the Contract is awarded to him, execute within ten (10) days from the acceptance of his proposal, a contract for the work bid upon, and furnish acceptable surety bonds as set forth in the Specifications. However, if the Contractor has not executed the Contract within the fifteen (15) day period, or has failed to furnish acceptable surety bonds as indicated, the Owner reserves the right to award the contract to the most responsive and responsible bidder and the bid security will be forfeited. The New Albany Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any defects or irregularities if deemed to be for the best interest to the Corporation.
