The Seattle Public Library plans to replace existing switches located in their library branches with Cisco C9400 switches, or switches with equivalent functionality. The Library expects to purchase 26 units in 2024-25 and up to 78 units over the term of the contract, but there is no guarantee of the total quantity of units to be purchased. The Library seeks the required switches, chassis, supervisor modules, transceivers/transmitters, power cords, software, licensing, technical support, configuration, installation, plus any other accessories, cabling, hardware, and services required to make the equipment function optimally. The project will involve a migration from an existing Layer 2 to a new Layer 3 architecture. The Cisco Catalyst 9400 series 10 slot, contains the specifications needed, but all equivalent products and packages will be considered. Some of the licensing (such as DNA) for the equipment in this project may be covered by an Enterprise Level Licensing Agreement that will be competitively bid in a separate RFP. Other licensing (such as SmartNet) may be folded into an existing SmartNet contract for all library owned equipment in 2024 or a later year. However, bids should still include all required licensing to give the Library price comparisons and purchase options. The Library seeks a 5-year contract beginning April 1, 2024 with the option to renew the contract for two annual extensions. The contract may be canceled or not renewed in the event of loss of federal E-rate, State or Library funds. Bidding Process Information: 1. The Library reserves the right to request additional information and/or a Best And Final Offer (BAFO) during this bidding process as responses are compared and evaluated. 2. The Library reserves the right to reject all proposals and to not pursue this project at this time. 3.
