Demolition, site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Williams Lake, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
SD27 has secured funding for the upgrade of 4 building envelopes in the district. The schools selected for this project are: 100 Mile Elementary Forest Grove Elementary Lac La Hache Elementary Likely Elementary. The general project scope is to replace exterior windows and doors, upgrade insulation to occur continuous clear of structure, and provide ventilated drainage cavities behind new exterior cladding. Two options for the exterior insulation, rigid or spray applied, and two options for exterior cladding, cement board or metal. TIMELINE: Request for proposal for architectural/consulting services for engineering/tender services is closed. Preferred proponent is unreleased. Building upon the project background, the scope of work is to seek architectural / managing consultant who will retain the engineering consultants and act as the coordinating registered professional to become the Owners' representative in designing and administering the projects from design through tendering and contract administration to completion. The consultant will provide schematic designs, design development, construction documents, bidding and negotiation and construction administration. Further update in early spring 2026, upon approvals.
