Renovation of an educational facility in Santee, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The District's Project shall consist of the replacement of an obsolete data network at West Hills High School/HOC. Specific Project work will likely include the following improvements: MDF and IDF room improvements and alterations. Work includes replacement of existing wiring throughout each building and between each building and the MDF, racks and equipment. All affected IDF/MDF rooms are to receive a new air conditioning system where one is not pre- existing. Some rooms will be reconfigured to improve access and security. Some additional (new) data drops should be expected. Audio/Visual systems may be upgraded to the new District standard in each classroom. Phasing and timeliness of the work are essential aspects of this project. No school days are expected to be lost during the course of the work, with the exception of summer school. Proposers should describe any similar projects that they have successfully completed and the method used to complete the work while maintaining the functionality of the classrooms. The selected LLB Entity for the Project will perform all required LLB services for the Project, starting first with the design/constructability review and value engineering pursuant to the LLB contract documents. If the District proceeds with the Construction Phase of the Project, the selected LLB Entity will be acting as a General Contractor pursuant to the LLB contract documents, consisting of a Construction Services Agreement, Site Lease Agreement, and Sublease Agreement (collectively the "LLB Contract"), and may contract with separate specialty subcontractors to perform the various trades comprising the entire Scope of Work described in Exhibit "A". The District's required form LLB Contract documents are attached hereto as Exhibit "B." The LLB Entity shall work under the direction of District staff. District has independently retained HED Architects as the Project Architect of Record (the "Architect") to prepare the design, plans and specifications for the Project. The LLB Entity shall work with the Architect as directed by the District to complete the value engineering/constructability reviews and assist in the incorporation of any District approved modifications to the plans for the Project, at the direction of District staff. Questions or clarifications for the Request for Proposal documents can be directed in writing to: Rian Pinson Director of Purchasing rpinson@guhsd.net Last Day to Submit Questions for Clarification received by the District on or before NOON 1/19/2024 Any proposal received later than the specified time, whether delivered in person or mailed, shall be disqualified. The evaluation criteria specified herein will be used to determine which of the proposals provide the best quality for Grossmont Union High School District. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive all technicalities, and to accept the proposal(s) that is determined to be the most favorable to the District. Recognizing that there are important considerations other than price, the District may not necessarily award to the lowest proposer. District has the right to ask for any clarifications on any or all proposals. Proposals must be effective for sixty (60) days following the deadline for the receipt of proposals.
