As of February 29,2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The proposed work includes all labor, materials, tools, supplies, utility and transportation services, equipment and all incidentals necessary for the Bid # 24-60 2024 Sewer Lateral & Nuisance Water Service Repairs Program. For all bids over $100,000, the City of Davenport requires a Bid Bond of 5% of the bid amount. A copy of the front page of the bid bond must be attached in the Response Attachments tab of the bid package. Bids over $100,000, submitted without a bid bond will not be considered. For awarded bids over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, and said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained. Working Days - The contractor shall begin repair work promptly after is has been assigned to them by the City of Davenport. All work to the assigned job shall be completed within ten (10) working days following the date of contractor notification. Liquidated Damages - Liquidated damages shall be $1,000 per day. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities, if it is deemed in the public interest to do so. The proposed improvements consists of removing concrete or asphalt pavements, including roadways, driveway or sidewalks, excavation, repair and/or removal and replacement of sanitary sewer laterals of various materials and repairing or replacing of sanitary wyes of various materials as necessary, backfilling excavations with compacted crushed rock or soil, replacing pavements, seeding disturbed areas, and other work related in multiple locations throughout the City of Davenport as defined in this contract. This program will also cover the need to repair private water services that cause a nuisance on City property separate from sewer lateral repairs. The contractor shall begin repair work promptly after is has been assigned to them by the City of Davenport. All work to the assigned job shall be completed within ten (10) working days following the date of contractor notification. 2A. Description of Contract This contract is an indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery task order contract. A base contract will be written for a minimum capacity of $50,000 of work, depending on number of bids received and bid pricing. Contracts may be amended for up to $600,000 worth of work depending on contract needs and contractor performance. However, the contractor will be paid for actual work performed within his/her contract and is not guaranteed the minimum contract amount within a given year due to the unpredictability of the work. Line-item pricing for this contract will be set by the City of Davenport based on an evaluation of the submitted bids and current industry and material pricing trends. Contractors will have a chance to evaluate the City's proposed pricing for each line item and accept before contracts are presented to the City Council for award. The contractor shall begin repair work promptly after is has been assigned to them by the City of Davenport. All work to the assigned job shall be completed within ten (10) working days following the date of contractor notification.
