Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a civil project in Lenexa, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
The bridge was built in 2002 and has experienced significant wear, with faded handrails, deteriorated streetlights and rusted epoxy-coated chain link fencing. The project will replace the lighting and fencing, as well as remove, paint, and replace the handrails. The project is include in the City of Lenexa's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of December 10, 2025, information regarding a design team and the contractor selection has not been disclosed. Per the owner, construction is estimated to take place in spring/summer of 2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
