Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Leawood, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
**As of October 25, 2024, This project has been awarded to Combes Construction, LLC, with the awarded amount of $1,553,728.47.** The work shall include the removal and replacement of the Lion's Shelter and the adjacent concessions and restroom building, and the removal of the two shelters to the east with a replacement shelter and restroom. Each bidder shall file with their bid proposal a cashier's check, certified check, or bid proposal bond, drawn on an acceptable bank in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Non resident corporations that are not already registered with the Kansas Secretary of State, and all non resident individuals and partnerships are required by law to register with the Director of Revenue, State Office Building, Topeka, Kansas, and to pay a fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00) for each and every contract, as a precedent to commencing work on the contract. For contracts in excess of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) the foreign contractor shall file with the Director of Revenue an acceptable bond in amount often percent (10%) of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn within a period of thirty (30) calendar days from and after the date fixed for opening bids.
