Renovation of a museum in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.

Redesign the Bell Museum's Imagine the Future gallery to revamp content and visitor experience, with two central goals - (1) more fully center climate change and related challenges, and (2) foreground community questions and perspectives. Other goals, approaches, and deliverables are spelled out below. Project start date is late February 2024; gallery opening date is mid-April 2025. Respondents are prohibited from contacting the identified department about this RFP while in process. Before submitting questions about the RFP via the Questions Tab, read and review the Supplier Process and Information Attachment and ALL Attributes in the Attributes Tab, especially Background and Project Summary/Scope of Work. These provide valuable information and address frequently asked questions. We seek a single firm or team of firms that is prepared to handle all aspects of this project, including exhibit development, design, fabrication, and installation for this gallery. Required components include graphic panels, AV experiences, hand-on interactives, and furnishings. We expect this project to rely on collaborative work with the Bell team and its partners, as outlined in roles and responsibilities below - Redesign the Imagine the Future gallery, through phases to include exhibit content development, design, fabrication, and installation, with suitable periods for client review. Interpretation should follow the framework set out above and develop in collaboration with the Bell. The gallery space is 2200 sq feet, with an option to use another 600 square feet, and is further described below. Requires components include: Interpretive paneling 2-3 hands on interactives 1-4 AV units Others as identified in the design process Advise on the development and participate in the implementation of a process or framework to solicit questions, perspectives, and voices from communities across the state about climate change, biodiversity loss, and related challenges. The process should be replicable for Provide new gallery furnishings, with comfortable seating and prompts or activities to promote intergenerational conversation and personal reflection. Provide an exhibit framework that allows for frequent updates of exhibit content, including graphic panels and multimedia components, approximately three times per year.
