Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lynchburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center; and playground / park / athletic field.

Work includes the removal of existing metal roof panels, including the asbestos underlayment and caulking, and the installation of new 26 gauge standing seam panels (Furnished by Owner). Contractor to include any support structures needed for installation such as Z furring, etc. Gutters and snow guards will be included. New roof will have a spray on insulated understructure of at least 2 inches throughout new roof interior area. All asbestos removal will be by a Certified Asbestos removal company. The Asbestos report from Hurt and Proffitt is included in the bid documents. Hurt and Proffitt will be monitoring the asbestos removals. A secured staging area will be provided for this project. All requests for clarification of or questions regarding this Advertisement for Bids or for additional information must be made in writing to Will Ruberry at william.ruberry@lynchburgva.gov and received by 2:00 PM, January 31, 2024. All addenda should be signed and accompany any bid submitted. City Hall access is currently restricted for the second and third floors, including access to the Procurement Office. FedEx, UPS and the USPS have access to the building to deliver mail/packages to the Procurement Office. If vendors choose to hand deliver bids, they can do so at the Citizens First Information Center in the first-floor lobby of City Hall at 900 Church Street, Lynchburg, VA 24504, Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Procurement Office staff member will be contacted by Citizens First to retrieve the bid and time stamp it at that time. It is the sole responsibility for the Bidder to ensure their bid is time stamped prior to the deadline for submission. Please allow additional time to ensure this is done. As always, late bids will not be considered.
