Renovation of an educational facility in Topeka, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 62,361-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
As of October 1, 2024, construction had commenced in August 2024. Completion is expected December 2025. All trades have been awarded. The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. The renovation scope for the Summer of 2024 entails demolition of existing CMU partitions and construction of new CMU partitions / doors in special education spaces and update of finishes including ceilings, flooring, paint and casework / countertops. Six (6) science classrooms are to receive updated ceilings, flooring, paint and casework / countertops. Existing lighting throughout the building has already been updated to LED fixtures, any re-work of ceilings should ensure lighting is salvaged for re-use. Loyd Builders is requesting subcontractor bids for the Washburn Middle School - Summer 2024 project in Topeka, KS. Bid Package Includes: Selective Demolition, Unit Masonry, Carpentry, Plastic Laminate Clad Architectural Cabinets with Solid Surface Tops, Doors with Frames and Hardware, Aluminum Entrances and Storefront, Tubular Unit Skylights, Acoustical Panel Ceilings, Resilient Flooring with Carpet, Resinous Flooring, Painting, Visual Display Units, Toilet Accessories with FEC, Safety Padding, Window Treatments, Fire Suppression Modifications, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical with Fire Alarm. Construction is expected to start August 2024 and complete by December 2025.
