Site work for a civil project in Wilmington Island, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The project is in unincorporated Chatham County on Wilmington Island on Penn Waller Road at Betz Creek. The work consists of the removal of an existing box culvert, pipes, and structures, installation of a new box culvert and headwalls, storm water pipes and structures, utility adjustments, and associated work as shown on the plans. Traffic will be impacted. Penn Waller Drive will be closed for up to three months. Capacity for storm water flow must be maintained at all times, although temporary blockages are acceptable. Erosion and sedimentation control plans are provided and must be implemented prior to and maintained during construction. Coordination with utility providers is also included. Under this section shall be included all measures both temporary and permanent to control erosion and sedimentation and protect all surface waters and property both on and offsite. This shall include all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to meet the requirements of this Section. This project will consist of removal of an existing box culvert, pipes and structures, installation of a new box culvert and headwalls, stormwater pipes and structures, utility adjustments and associated work as shown on the plans. This project is funded in part or in whole by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The County reserves the right to reject all bids that are non-responsive or not responsible.
