The project site is located at Parkchester Park, 851Weiland Road in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. The project includes demolition, asphalt, concrete, sports courts, playground, site furnishings, earthwork, underdrainage, and partial restoration. This project is partially funded through the IllinoisDepartment of Natural Resources. Interpretations will be given to bidders as to the meaningof the drawings and specifications until noon on January 24,2024. Any replies to requests that arereceived will be issued in writing as an addendum to allbidders. The Buffalo Grove Park District encourages MinorityOwned and Women-Owned businesses to submit bids andthat any successful contract bidder uses Minority-Ownedand Women-Owned businesses as sub-contractors forsupplies, services, and construction. A representative from the Park District will open and read off the bidsthrough the BHFX sealed electronic bidding process. Asecond representative from the Park District along with arepresentative from Upland Design will be present as witness. The Zoom Meeting will be recorded. A bid tabulationwill be created, emailed out to all bidders, and posted onthe Park District website for public viewing. The ParkDistrict will reach out to the apparent low bidder(s) afterthe Zoom Meeting to set up a time for a scope review. The Board of Commissioners of the Buffalo Grove ParkDistrict reserves the right to reject any or all bids or partsthereof or waive any irregularities or informalities, and tomake an award that is in the best interest of the ParkDistrict. Bid security in the form of a bid bond or certifiedcheck in an amount equal to (10%) ten percent of the totalbid amount plus any alternates shall be submitted with thebid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall bepayable to the Buffalo Grove Park District. The Buffalo Grove Park District is a public body that issubject to the Prevailing Wage Act, Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 48, Paragraph 39s-1, et seq. All bidders mustcomply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the paymentof prevailing wages by all Contractors.
